Mama's Ginger Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 2/4 cup shortening
  • ½ cup molasses
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsps baking soda
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp all spice
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Additional sugar, for coating
Instructions
  1. Mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients, and then combine until smooth. Roll into balls and roll in white sugar. Do not flatten! If the dough is too sticky, refrigerate it for an hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
